Welcome to the International Bribery Reporter

Bribery and corruption undermine democracy, the rule of law and sustainable development. They deny citizens their human rights. The international community has taken strong action against international bribery, requiring major exporting countries to make it a crime for their companies or nationals to pay bribes to foreign public officials in international trade and investment.

But while awareness of laws criminalising international bribery is low, the evidence suggests that levels of international bribery remain high. Only limited information is easily available on where and how to report suspected incidents of international bribery.

Citizens around the world seeking to defend their democracies and their rights have a strong interest in tackling international bribery. This International Bribery Reporter aims to support their engagement by providing information on where and how to report allegations of international bribery involving companies or nationals from 37 of the world's leading exporters.
