Reporting
The Norwegian Government advises that suspected incidents of foreign bribery be reported to the Norwegian National Authority for Investigation and Prosecution of Economic and Environmental Crime (Økokrim) using the hotline telephone number provided. Anonymous reporting is not permitted. Verbal and written reports can be accepted in Norwegian (official language) and in English. To call Norway from another country, use the international access code +47. It is also possible to report information regarding suspected incidents of foreign bribery to the Norwegian embassy in the country where the bribery is alleged to have occurred. Norwegian public officials are required to report evidence of foreign bribery to the Norwegian enforcement authorities.

Validation of Contact Point(s)

In December 2008, we rang Økokrim and were informed that calls should be made after 12.00 p.m from Monday-Friday. We were told that we could either provide information over the phone or send an email to desken.okokrin@politiet.no - we would then be informed of the next steps. The telephone call was made in English.
