Foreign Bribery is a Crime
Bribery of a foreign public official has been a criminal offence in Sweden since 1 July 1999. Bribery that occurred prior to this date may also be a criminal offence if any part of the offence took place in Sweden.

Reporting
The Swedish Government advises that suspected incidents of foreign bribery be reported to the National Anti-corruption Unit (NACU). Anonymous reporting is not permitted. Verbal and written reports can be accepted in Swedish (official language) and in English. Supporting evidence can be translated. To call Sweden from another country, use the international access code +46. It is also possible to report information regarding suspected incidents of foreign bribery to the Swedish embassy in the country where the bribery is alleged to have occurred.
Do
- Be aware that the Public Prosecutor in Sweden is obliged to register all public documents submitted to the Authority. This means that all letters, including e-mail and fax, will be recorded in the agency's diary.
