Foreign Bribery is a Crime
Bribery of a foreign public official has been a criminal offence in Iceland since 30 December 1998. Bribery that occurred prior to this date may also be a criminal offence if any part of the offence took place in Iceland.

Reporting
The Icelandic Government advises suspected incidents of foreign bribery to be reported to the Ríkislögreglustjórinn (RSL) (National Commissioner of the Icelandic Police). Anonymous reporting is permitted. Verbal and written reports can be accepted in Icelandic (official language) and in English and German. To call Iceland from another country, use the international access code +354. It is also possible to report information regarding suspected incidents of foreign bribery to the Icelandic embassy in the country where the bribery is alleged to have occurred. Icelandic public officials are required to report evidence of foreign bribery to the Icelandic enforcement authorities.
